When payments work smarter, you move faster
This quarter, we’ve made it easier to put your payments data to work. Get to the insights that matter faster, automate more of the work behind your payments, and simplify the steps it takes to act on them.
A smarter decision for every payment
Network tokens can improve authorization rates, but they aren’t always the best choice for every payment. Falling back to PAN can recover a failed network token payment, but it means paying your PSP for a second attempt. Our ML Optimization engine weighs factors including issuer, processor, geography and transaction amount, then automatically selects the credential most likely to succeed, helping you avoid unnecessary second attempts and fees. The result is an even higher authorization rate than either credential can deliver on its own.

Better answers start with more context
Companion already draws on thousands of signals across payments. Now, it combines that context with Primer’s documentation and curated payments knowledge to give you more relevant answers and insights specific to your setup. You can ask how a feature works, when to use it or how to configure it, without searching through documentation.
Know why your metrics moved
When a metric moves unexpectedly, the answer is now one click away. From any chart, Companion can summarize what you're looking at, flag anomalies, or compare the period against another, giving you the signal you’re looking for faster.
Your workflows, explained
The workflows that route your payments can grow into hundreds of connected steps, making it harder to see exactly what’s happening. Now you can just ask. Companion summarizes what a workflow does, catches you up on recent activity, and pulls the latest run data, so you can manage complex automations without zooming in and out to inspect every step.
Move money with fewer steps
We’ve made it faster and easier to move your money. Convert all your balances at once, or repeat a previous transfer or conversion with the details already filled in. We’ve also redesigned the transfer details page to make your recordkeeping simpler for every completed transfer.
Make every buying moment a checkout
We’ve expanded Express Checkout to make the path to purchase even shorter. Apple Pay and Google Pay now sit directly on product pages and other high-intent moments, with customer and shipping details captured on the spot.
Your checkout now covers even more ground
Apple Pay is no longer limited to Safari. You can now offer it across desktop browsers, and we’ve added PayPal Pay Later alongside PayPal. Together, these updates give your checkout broader coverage and are already driving around a 5% uplift in conversions for our merchants.
