Gabriel Le Roux is the CEO and Co-founder of Primer. With over a decade of experience in the payments industry, he previously worked at Braintree (a PayPal division), developing commercial solutions for startups and enterprise accounts before leading a strategic commerce infrastructure division in San Francisco.

Originally from France and now based in Switzerland, Gabriel founded Primer to deliver the world's first Unified Payments Infrastructure, serving clients like GetYourGuide, New Look, and Maison du Monde across the EU, UK, US, and APAC, backed by investors including Iconiq Growth, Accel, Balderton, and Tencent.

Pierre-Edouard Jumel is the CFO of Primer. With a career spanning finance leadership roles across private equity, venture-backed startups, and global corporations. Before joining Primer, Pierre-Edouard served as CFO and financial advisor across several companies including Sweetguest and COLISEE, and founded Yayaso, a fractional CFO practice. 

Based in Paris, Pierre-Edouard has closed over $100M in capital raises, venture debt, and M&A transactions, and is an angel investor in startups across Europe.

Mikael is the COO of Primer. Based in France, Mikael brings a strong blend of operational, commercial, and financial expertise to Primer's leadership tea

Before joining Primer, Mikael co-founded SOpsly, a SaaS sales strategy and operations consultancy, and prior to that held senior roles at LinkedIn, leading Sales Strategy and Operations for Global Accounts across EMEA and LATAM. He began his career at EY, spending over six years in Assurance and Advisory Services across Geneva and San Francisco, working with public and private clients in life science and technology.

Alex is the CTO of Primer, where he leads the engineering team building Primer's unified global payments infrastructure.

With over 25 years of experience in software engineering leadership, Alex has held engineering, general manager, and executive roles at Microsoft, Amazon, and Forto. His expertise spans large-scale distributed systems, cloud computing, machine learning and AI, eCommerce platforms, and internal infrastructure services.

Beyond payments, Alex has a deep interest in computational and systems biology, holding a Master's degree from MIT in the field.

Caitriona is a people leader redefining how fintech scaleups build high-performance, remote-first cultures. As VP People at Primer, she has quickly become a recognised voice on the future of work, featured in Forbes, The Times and Business Insider for her expertise in helping people enter and thrive in tech and fintech roles. 

Before joining Primer, she shaped global people strategies at Improbable, Atlassian and Google, building inclusive, award-winning cultures across 20+ countries. Today, she focuses on creating systems that balance performance with wellbeing, ensuring employees feel empowered, supported and able to do their best work in a fully distributed environment.

Jade Maitland is the VP of Marketing at Primer, where she leads the company's marketing strategy across demand generation, brand and content, PR and communications, and product marketing.

Before joining Primer, Jade spent over three years as Senior Director of Marketing at Yapily, a leading Open Banking company, where she built high-performing marketing and SDR teams. Prior to that, she held marketing leadership roles at Quantexa.

Theo Spyrides is the VP Product at Primer, having grown with the company over nearly four years, progressing from Product Lead and Head of Payments through to Head of Product, before being promoted to VP Product in April 2026.

Based in London and brings a strong blend of product, technology, and entrepreneurial experience to Primer's leadership team. Before Primer, Theo served as Head of Technology at Tail, and held product and development leadership roles at Quantum Group. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Folio Intelligence, an algorithmic trading company, and founded Awkward Balloon, a games software startup based in London.

Sam Elgar is the VP Merchant Experience at Primer. Based in Portugal, Sam leads Primer's solutions engineering, customer success, and support teams, building both high-touch and scaled programmes to deliver an excellent experience for merchants ranging from SMB to Enterprise globally. 

Before Primer, Sam spent six years at Shopify, leading customer success teams across AMER and EMEA.

Patrick Wittenberg is VP Global Sales at Primer. He has over a decade of experience scaling high-performance sales organisations across EMEA, APAC, North America, and LATAM. 

Before joining Primer, he served as VP of Sales at Docker, where he grew the GTM team from 5 to 70 people and consistently exceeded revenue targets. His career also includes sales leadership roles at Camunda, Chargebee, and Elastic, where he contributed to the company's IPO.
